I hold a BFA in Ballet and a Ballet Studio Teaching Certificate from the University of Utah. My teaching experience includes all ages--from two year olds to adults--in ballet, pre-pointe/pointe, jazz, contemporary, modern, and creative movement. I have been teaching for over 10 years. In my teaching practice, I believe that all bodies are dancing bodies. I actively work to create a classroom environment that is inclusive of all. I am well-studied in anatomy, kinesiology, and injury prevention. While I place value in discipline and work ethic, I come along side my students to be a supporter in their growth as dancers and as individual humans. I have expectations for my students to arrive to class ready to push past self-limitations and take class seriously, while our mutual respect for each other allows us both to not take ourselves too seriously. I teach ballet technique based on the SuganoSystem methodology.

In addition to dance, I am a Certified Instructor in mUvmethod, a conditioning program for dancers based on yoga and pilates and backed by science. The program specializes in weekly stretching made safe, easy, and effective with our comprehensive stretch curriculums and online programs for dancers, ages 5 and up. The goal is to create more clarity around what to stretch, when to stretch, and how to stretch. With comprehensive training and simple implementation, the program saves time, increases productivity, and decreases overwhelm.

I have taught for The School at Peridance at Peridance Capezio Center (NYC); Ballet Tech: The NYC Public School for Dance, under the direction of Eliot Feld; and at Phillips Academy, Andover (MA). I currently teach at The Brookline Ballet School (MA), Lexington School of Ballet (MA), and Northeast School of Ballet Conservatory (MA).

Lessons can be taught virtually via Zoom or in-person.
